The 2011 Fashion Fund Finalists
It seems like hardly a minute since Billy Reid, Prabal Gurung, and Eddie Borgo were stepping up to the podium last November to claim their prizes from Karl Lagerfeld as winners of the 2010 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, but the search for the next three up-and-coming American designers to take home the award in 2011 just leaped a step forward. Early this morning, the judging committee, which consists of Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler (who join the committee for the first time this year), Mark Holgate of Vogue, Jeffrey Kalinsky of Jeffrey and Nordstrom, Steven Kolb of the CFDA, Reed Krakoff of Coach, Jenna Lyons of J.Crew, Andrew Rosen of Theory, Diane von Furstenberg of the CFDA, and Anna Wintour of Vogue, decided on the ten finalists for 2011—and here is the first look at the list:
